Le Procureur de la République près le tribunal de Sidi M’hamed (Alger) a requis, jeudi, l’application de la loi dans l’affaire de l’universitaire Saïd Djabelkhir, poursuivi pour offense à l’Islam.
Répondant aux questions de la juge, l’accusé qui est un spécialiste en jurisprudence de la Charia islamique, avait déclaré que ses publications sur Facebook ne constituaient pas une offense à l’Islam, soutenant que ses commentaires reposaient sur des recherches qu’il avait fait sur les livres de la tradition prophétique (Sunna) et de la Charia.
Et d’ajouter que ses commentaires étaient “en réponse à certaines parties plaidant pour l’interdiction de la célébration de Yennayer car, fête païenne”.
“Il est inconcevable qu’un spécialiste de la Charia offense la religion musulmane, a-t-il avancé, soulignant que “ses écrits s’inscrivent dans l’ordre de la jurisprudence, sans plus”.
A rappeler que la plainte avait été déposée contre Saïd Djabelkhir par un enseignant universitaire spécialiste en sécurité électronique à l’université de Sidi Belabes.
