Le tirage au sort de la Coupe arabe de la FIFA 2021, aura lieu à l’opéra “Katara” de Doha (Qatar) mardi prochain à 21h00 (heure locale, 19h00 heure algérienne), a annoncé l’instance internationale sur son site officiel.
Outre l’Algérie, ce tournoi mettra aux prises 22 autres équipes arabes : Arabie Saoudite, Bahreïn, Comores, Djibouti, Egypte, Emirats arabes unis, Irak, Jordanie, Koweït, Liban, Libye, Maroc, Mauritanie, Oman, Palestine, Qatar (pays hôte), Somalie, Soudan, Soudan du Sud, Syrie, Tunisie et Yémen.
La cérémonie de tirage au sort se déroulera en présence d’un nombre limité d’officiels, précise l’instance mondiale, entre autres le nouveau président de la Fédération algérienne de football (FAF), Charaf-Eddine Amara, qui s’envolera samedi pour Doha, indique pour sa part la Fédération algérienne de football (FAF).
“Si le protocole sanitaire le permettra, une rencontre entre M. Amara et le sélectionneur national, M. Djamel Belmadi, serait au programme en marge de la cérémonie de cette compétition”, informe la FAF.
Prévue fin 2021, la Coupe arabe sera l’occasion de tester les installations et les opérations à tout juste un an de la première Coupe du monde organisée au Moyen-Orient et dans le monde arabe.
Les finales des deux compétitions se tiendront le 18 décembre.
Les matches de la Coupe arabe sont programmés dans six des stades de la Coupe du monde. Certains ont déjà accueilli des rencontres de haut niveau ces derniers mois tandis que d’autres abordent la phase finale de leur construction.
