La société nationale de commercialisation et de distribution des produits pétroliers (Naftal) a lancé, samedi, une campagne nationale de sensibilisation des conducteurs à la bonne utilisation du Gaz de pétrole liquéfié-carburant (GPLc).
La campagne nationale de sensibilisation a été lancée depuis la station de service de Sidi El-Kebir à Meftah (Blida), sous la supervision du P-dg de Naftal, Mourad Menouar et en présence de directeurs et de cadres de la société ainsi que des représentants de plusieurs associations nationales de protection du consommateur et de sécurité routière.
Cette initiative qui connaît la participation, en outre, des services de la Délégation nationale à la sécurité routière (DNSR) relevant du ministère de l’Intérieur et des Collectivités locales, vise la sensibilisation des utilisateurs du GPLc aux dangers pouvant survenir en cas de mauvaise utilisation de ce carburant et de non respect des mesures de précaution.
A cette occasion, M. Menouar a affirmé que cette campagne s’inscrivait dans le cadre des efforts de Naftal visant à réduire les risques liés à l’utilisation de ce type de carburant, mais également à sensibiliser aussi bien les conducteurs que les agents de Naftal à la nécessité de respecter les procédures de sécurité.
La société a pris toutes les mesures nécessaires pour mener à bien cette campagne nationale qui verra, a-t-il expliqué, d’autres événements similaires dans plusieurs wilayas afin de fournir des explications sur l’utilisation du GPLc et l’entretien des équipements.
Pour lui, Naftal demeure un élément actif dans la chaîne d’approvisionnement de ce carburant propre et économique, dans le cadre de la stratégie tracée par l’Etat à l’effet de généraliser son utilisation comme carburant alternatif à l’essence conventionnelle.
Au vu du nombre des véhicules converties au GPLc dans le pays qui avoisine actuellement les 660.000 véhicules, à raison de 20.000 à 25.000/an, Naftal ambitionne de porter ce chiffre à un million de véhicules à l’avenir, a précisé son P-dg.
De son côté, le président de l’Association algérienne de protection et d’orientation du consommateur et de son environnement (APOCE), Mustapha Zebdi a salué cette initiative “d’une grande importance en vue de sensibiliser les citoyens à la nécessité de procéder à l’entretien périodique de leurs véhicules roulant au GPLc”.
Cette campagne constitue une opportunité “pour corriger certaines idées reçues chez les citoyens sur ce carburant économique et vert”, selon M. Zebdi, expliquant que les accidents impliquant des véhicules GPLc sont principalement dus “au non-respect des consignes de sécurité relatives à leur entretien périodique”.
Intervenant à cette occasion, le président de l’Académie nationale pour la prévention et la sécurité routière (ANPSR), Abderrahmane Chaïb s’est félicité de cette campagne nationale axée sur la sensibilisation des citoyens, appelant les autorités à organiser des cycles de formation au niveau des centres de formation professionnelle et d’apprentissage (CFPA) afin “d’investir dans l’élément humain en matière de sécurité routière”.
Au cours de cette campagne, plusieurs stands seront installés au niveau des stations-service, pour présenter les avantages du GPLc et fournir aux conducteurs des explications sur les mesures de précaution à respecter.
