Le Président de la République, M. Abdelmadjid Tebboune a formé le vœu, mercredi à Alger, de voir la crise libyenne trouver une voie de solution en 2023, affirmant que l’ensemble des pays amis et frères étaient convaincus que “les élections sont l’unique solution”.
“Nous souhaitons que 2023 soit l’année du règlement de la crise libyenne et marquera la fin de la tragédie du peuple libyen, permettant ainsi à ce pays frère de retrouver sa stabilité, exploiter ses ressources et avancer vers le développement et la prospérité”, a indiqué le Président Tebboune, dans une déclaration conjointe avec le président du Conseil présidentiel libyen, M. Mohamed Yunus Al-Menfi au sortir de leur entretiens au siège de la Présidence de la République.
“Nous sommes optimistes, car tous nos amis occidentaux et nos frères sont, aujourd’hui, convaincus que la crise libyenne ne saurait trouver une voie de solution sans l’organisation des élections dans le respect de la volonté des Libyens sans ingérence étrangère aucune”, a poursuivi le Président de la République.

Affirmant que la position de l’Algérie à l’égard de la situation en Libye demeure inchangée, le Président Tebboune a rappelé que l’Algérie avait plaidé pour “une solution libyenne, seule garante de la stabilité, de la prospérité et de l’essor en Libye, à savoir se référer au peuple libyen pour exprimer son choix et conférer la légitimité à celui qui le représente dans le monde à travers les urnes”.
A cette occasion, le Président de la République a mis en avant les relations historiques unissant l’Algérie et la Libye, rappelant que les deux peuples frères avaient commémoré récemment le 65e anniversaire de la bataille d’Issine.
L’Etat algérien a accordé un intérêt particulier à cette date en reconnaissance aux sacrifices du peuple libyen aux côtés de ses frères algériens durant la Glorieuse guerre de libération, a ajouté le Président Tebboune.
