Le Président de la République, M. Abdelmadjid Tebboune a affirmé, jeudi à Alger, que l’Algérie était prête à accueillir des matchs internationaux de football dans les nouveaux stades.
Dans une déclaration à la presse après l’inauguration officielle du nouveau stade de Baraki qui porte le nom du défunt leader sud-africain, Nelson Mandela, le Président Tebboune a indiqué avoir évoqué cette question avec les présidents de la Fédération internationale de football (FIFA) et de la Confédération africaine de football (CAF), auxquels il a fait part de la disponibilité de l’Algérie à accueillir des rencontres internationales ou des finales.
“Ils trouveront toute notre aide en termes d’hébergement et d’organisation, dans le but de mettre en exergue l’image du pays”, a-t-il dit.
Le président de la République a précisé, dans ce cadre, que toutes ces réalisations “visent à servir la jeunesse algérienne qui représente 72% de la population”, affirmant que “l’Algérie est leur pays, c’est pourquoi la priorité est accordée à la satisfaction de leurs revendications”.
Le Président Tebboune a enfin félicité le peuple algérien à l’occasion de la célébration du nouvel An amazigh, déclarant : “Assegas Ameggaz et vive l’Algérie”.
