Le ministère de l’Agriculture et du Développement rural, a rassuré samedi les éleveurs, suite à l’apparition de quelques foyers de “dermatose nodulaire contagieuse” bovine au niveau de quelques wilayas, que la situation est “maitrisée” et que tous les moyens de prévention et de lutte ont été mobilisés.
“Le ministère rassure les éleveurs que la situation sanitaire est maitrisée et que tous les moyens nécessaires de prévention et de lutte sont mobilisés afin d’accompagner les professionnels et d’éviter la propagation de la maladie dans notre cheptel”, indique un communiqué du ministère.
Le ministère a ainsi engagé “toutes les mesures sanitaires nécessaires, afin de contenir la maladie et d’éviter sa propagation”, alors que les procédures d’acquisition du vaccin contre cette maladie ont été déjà engagées auprès de l’Institut Pasteur afin de renforcer le dispositif de prévention et de lutte, selon le communiqué.
Et puisqu’il s’agit d’une maladie “vectorielle” où le virus se propage dans la population d’insectes, une large désinsectisation est “fortement recommandée et doit obligatoirement être effectuée et de manière permanente et contrôlée”.
Il est recommandé aussi, poursuit le ministère, l’application stricte des mesures d’interdiction de déplacements des animaux à partir des exploitations infectées, de l’isolement des animaux malades et de la désinfection des locaux et des outils.
En cas de suspicion, les éleveurs doivent se rapprocher du vétérinaire le plus proche, recommande le ministère.
La dermatose nodulaire contagieuse bovine est une maladie virale affectant uniquement les bovins et non transmissible à l’homme. Elle se transmet principalement par les vecteurs (insectes piqueurs) et se caractérise notamment par de la fièvre et des nodules de tailles diverses sur la peau de l’animal, précise le communiqué.
