Huit pays du groupe Opep+, dont l’Algérie, ont décidé d’appliquer une augmentation collective progressive de leur production de pétrole brut, estimée à 548.000 barils/jour et ce, durant le mois d’août prochain, indique un communiqué du ministère de l’Energie, des Mines et des Energies renouvelables, précisant que dans ce cadre, la production de l’Algérie augmentera de 12.000 barils/jour.
Cette décision a été prise à l’issue d’une réunion par visioconférence, avec la participation du ministre d’Etat, ministre de l’Energie, des Mines et des Energies renouvelables, M. Mohamed Arkab et de ses homologues d’Arabie saoudite, de la Fédération de Russie, d’Irak, des Emirats arabes unis, du Koweït, du Kazakhstan et du Sultanat d’Oman, pays ayant initié, depuis avril 2023, des réductions volontaires de leurs niveaux de production.
La réunion a permis un échange de vues sur les évolutions du marché pétrolier mondial et l’examen de ses perspectives à court terme, en se focalisant sur le suivi du respect des engagements relatifs à la réduction de la production et aux mécanismes de compensation des excédents de la production enregistrée, ajoute le texteSur la base de prévisions faisant état d’une amélioration de la demande mondiale sur le pétrole durant la saison estivale, les participants ont convenu d’augmenter progressivement la production à partir du mois d’août prochain à hauteur de 548.000 barils/ jour.
Dans ce contexte, la production de l’Algérie du pétrole brut connaîtra une hausse de 12.000 barils/jour à compter du même mois, selon le ministère.
Les ministres ont convenu de poursuivre la coordination et la concertation de manière régulière à travers des réunions mensuelles, pour suivre les évolutions du marché, garantir le respect des engagements volontaires, avec une évaluation continue des mécanismes de compensation adoptée.
La prochaine réunion ministérielle a été fixée au 3 août prochain.
