Dans ce contexte, le ministre de l’Agriculture, du Développement rural et de la Pêche a supervisé dans la localité de Taghremt dans la commune de Djaafra (Nord de Bordj Bou Arreridj) le lancement d’une campagne de plantation de 8.000 arbustes des espèces de pins d’Alep et d’olivier sauvage, adaptées au climat local, avec la participation d’un grand nombre de citoyen, d’associations, de représentants des différents secteurs et de plus de 200 écoliers.
Dans la wilaya de Bordj Bou Arreridj, la campagne cible la mise en terre de 12.000 arbustes sur cinq sites répartis sur les communes El Euch, Medjana, Ras El Oued, Djaafra et Hasnaoua, selon les services de la conservation des forêts.
Dans une déclaration à la presse, le ministre a indiqué que cette opération vise à “régénérer le couvert végétal dans cette wilaya qui a enregistré des pertes au cours de l’été passé à cause des incendies qui avaient parcouru 500 hectares”, soulignant que cette campagne se poursuivra jusqu’au mois de mars prochain et sera accompagnée par des campagnes de sensibilisation pour ancrer la culture du reboisement qui constitue une partie intégrante du développement durable et du renforcement de conscience écologique.
M. Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid a ajouté que “le premier objectif est de planter un million d’arbres mais les données recueillies montrent que ce but a été largement dépassé et le nombre des bénévoles dépassaient celui des arbres à planter”, soulignant que “les algériens ont montré une capacité réelle à se solidariser et coopérer pour l’intérêt du pays et avec la conjugaison des efforts de tous, le pays peut être transformé en une aire verte”.
Il a également appelé à “poursuivre le travail collectif pour atteindre ce but”, espérant que les résultats seront positifs.
