Des militants politiques, des universitaires et des acteurs de la société civile lancent une pétition nationale pour porter la même revendication.
Les initiateurs de la pétition constatent qu’« au moment où le peuple algérien continue pacifiquement à battre le pavé par millions et à revendiquer la fin d’un régime totalitaire et le passage à un régime véritablement démocratique, une répression inouïe et une campagne d’intimidations s’abattent sur les activistes et les manifestants pacifiques en Algérie ». Le tableau est sans appel pointe du doigt le chef d’état-major de l’armée, Ahmed Gaïd Salah, désigné comme « commanditaire » de ce que les signataires qualifient d’« escalade de la répression et des arrestations arbitraires ». Ce dernier, « pour se maintenir, tente de diviser le mouvement par la diversion et le mensonge », accusent les rédacteurs de la pétition pour qui « l’urgence de mener des actions et de maintenir la mobilisation dans la prudence devient vitale ». A peine lancée, la pétition a été signée par des centaines de militants. Parmi les premiers signataires, on trouve dans la liste l’universitaire Laouari Addi, le sociologue Nacer Djabi, le premier secrétaire du FFS, Hakim Belahcel, le militant politique Djamel Zenati, le fondateur et coordinateur de l’UDS, Karim Tabou, le député démissionnaire Khaled Tazaghart, l’ancien 1er secrétaire du FFS Saïd Khellil, le dirigeant du PT Ramdane Tazibt, le président de l’association RAJ Abdelouahab Fersaoui et le militant Hakim Addad, le politologue Ismaïl Maâraf et l’éditeur Ramdane Achab.
Regrettant, qu’aujourd’hui «M. Lakhdar Bouregaâ, commandant de la Wilaya IV historique, et beaucoup d’autres détenus croupissent dans les prisons algériennes» pour avoir commis «un seul tort, celui d’avoir brandi le drapeau amazigh, réclamé une transition, un Etat civil de droit et démasqué les manœuvres diaboliques du commandement militaire », les initiateurs, regroupés dans le collectif «Libérons l’Algérie», s’insurgent que pour ce dernier, « tous ceux et toutes celles qui n’adhèrent pas à sa feuille de route sont naturellement et systématiquement des traîtres à la solde des puissances étrangères ennemies de l’Algérie». Le Collectif, qui dénonce et condamne fermement « toutes les arrestations arbitraires », appelle «à leur libération immédiate et sans condition». Il exige, également, la «cessation des intimidations à l’encontre des manifestants, des activistes et des militants», et réclame «l’ouverture de la capitale Alger à tous les Algériens et les Algériennes désirant manifester pacifiquement», lit-on dans le texte. Enfin, le collectif souligne avoir lancé la pétition « citoyenne et militante » afin «d’exercer une pression» pour la libération de tous les détenus politiques et d’opinion. Il appelle à sa signature par les militants politiques, les syndicalistes, les militants associatifs, les activistes et tous les citoyens et citoyennes « libres, épris de démocratie, révoltés contre la répression, l’injustice et l’arbitraire en Algérie ». Depuis l’arrestation de Bouregaâ, le 30 juin dernier, les appels à la libération des détenus d’opinion se sont multipliés. Parmi les partis de la mouvance démocratique, le FFS et le RCD étaient les premiers à demander la relaxe du moudjahid, au même titre que des jeunes porteurs de l’emblème amazigh. Avant-hier, c’est un collectif citoyen qui a lancé un appel pour un sit-in, ce mercredi, devant la Cour d’Alger pour crier la même exigence.
Dans une déclaration, l’avocat Mokrane Aït Larbi avait appelé le pouvoir à saisir l’opportunité de la fête de l’Indépendance pour rendre leur liberté à ces détenus. « En ma qualité d’avocat des prisonniers d’opinion, de Louisa Hanoune à Lakhdar Bouregaâ, en passant par les porteurs de l’emblème amazigh (…) je demande au pouvoir la libération de tous les prisonniers d’opinion, condition primordiale pour la construction de l’Algérie nouvelle», avait-il écrit.
