Le ministère des affaires étrangères (MAE), a célébré, lundi, le 39e anniversaire de la disparition du moudjahid, diplomate et ancien ministre des affaires étrangères, Mohamed Seddik Benyahia (Photo).
L’occasion pour l’actuel chef du MAE , Sabri Boukadoum, de mettre en avant les qualités du défunt «qui a voué sa vie au service de la patrie», dira- t- il.
« C’est également l’occasion de se remémorer la tragique disparition du Moudjahid Mohamed Seddik Benyahia, en compagnie d’une groupe de brillants diplomates algériens, dans un accident qui restera, de par ses significations en termes de sacrifice et courage , gravé dans la mémoire du peuple algérien, en général et des fonctionnaires de notre département ministériel, en particulier», poursuivra Boukadoum.
Et d’ajouter que «le devoir de reconnaissance des sacrifices de cette génération exceptionnelle nous amène aujourd’hui à nous recueillir avec déférence à la mémoire du chahid de la diplomatie algérienne, Mohamed Sedik Benyahia, qui a voué sa vie au service de la patrie comme étudiant, militant, moudjahid et négociateur remarquable lors de la Glorieuse guerre de libération, puis acteur principal dans le processus d’édification après le recouvrement de la souveraineté nationale», a- t- il encensé.
Soulignant que c’est le président de la République Abdelmadjid Tebboune qui a décidé de baptiser le siège du ministère des Affaires étrangères du nom du défunt, Boukadoum a rappelé que Benyahia était «l’un des hommes aguerris de l’Algérie à avoir mené haut la main les batailles de libération et d’édification, en sacrifiant ce qu’ils avaient de plus cher».
A noter que cette cérémonie, Organisée au siège du ministère des Affaires étrangères, a vu la présence du président du Conseil de la Nation, Salah Goudjil, du Conseiller du président de la République, Abdelhafid Allahoum, du Conseiller du président de la République, chargé des Archives et de la Mémoire nationale, Abdelmadjid Chikhi, du ministre de l’Intérieur, Kamal Beldjoud, du ministre des Finances, Aymene Benabderrahmane, ainsi que des représentants du corps diplomatique en Algérie et des cadres du ministère.
