Le taux de remplissage des barrages, à l’échelle nationale, a atteint 44,52%, a indiqué lundi le coordinateur principal à l’Agence nationale des barrages et des transferts (ANBT), Ouglaouane Mourad, estimant que ce taux est “moyennement acceptable”.
“Le taux de remplissage des barrages, à l’échelle nationale, est de 44,52%”, a indiqué M. Ouglaouane qui s’exprimait sur les ondes de la Chaîne II de la Radio algérienne, précisant que les barrages dans les régions de l’Ouest du pays ont enregistré un taux de remplissage de 26%, ceux du Centre 24% et ceux de l’Est 61%.
Le responsable a souligné que ces taux étaient “moyennement acceptables, comparativement au début de l’année”.
Par ailleurs, M. Ouaglouane à reconnu que plusieurs barrages enregistraient des taux “importants” d’envasement, précisant que “sur une capacité globale des 80 barrages existant en Algérie, dépassant 7 milliards de m3, le volume de la vase avoisine 1,2 milliard de m3, soit un taux de 13%”.
Pour faire face à ce phénomène naturel et améliorer les capacités de stockage des barrages, les autorités compétentes font recours à différentes
méthodes de dévasement, a-t-il mis en exergue.
“Des bateaux sont mobilisés pour extraire ces vases. Plusieurs projets sont lancés, notamment au barrage Foum El Gherza dans la wilaya de Biskra, où nous extrayons 8 millions de m3, le barrage de K’sob dans la wilaya de M’sila où nous enregistrons l’extraction de 5 millions de m3”, a fait savoir M. Ouglaouane.
