L’Emir de l’Etat du Qatar, son Altesse Cheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani, est également arrivé au stade en compagnie du Président Tebboune, pour assister à cette cérémonie, en tant qu’invité d’honneur.
D’autres invités de marque, à l’instar des Capitaines-régents de Saint-Marin, Oscar Mina et Paolo Rondelli, du vice-président turc, M. Fuat Oktay, la ministre italienne de l’Intérieur, Luciana Lamorgese, et le secrétaire général de l’Union pour la Méditerranée (UpM), Nasser Kamel, assistent également à la cérémonie d’ouverture.
La 19ème édition des JM (Oran 2022) , prévue du 25 juin au 6 juillet à Oran, enregistre la participation de 3.390 athlètes issus de 26 pays.
