Les travaux du 8e Congrès du Mouvement de la Société pour la paix (MSP), ont débuté jeudi à Alger, et se poursuivront jusqu’au 18 mars.
Dans une allocution prononcée à l’ouverture des travaux du Congrès, qui s’est déroulé en présence du chef du bureau politique du Mouvement palestinien Hamas, Ismaïl Haniyeh et de nombre de dirigeants de partis politiques algériens et étrangers, le président du MSP, Abderrezak Makri, a affirmé que les efforts consentis par le président de la République, M. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, étaient importants pour le développement économique, ajoutant que ces “efforts exigent le soutien de tout un chacun”.
Concernant la cause palestinienne, M. Makri a rappelé la position algérienne de soutien à cette cause centrale, précisant que ce soutien a valu à l’Algérie d’occuper “une place de choix auprès des peuples arabes”.
Pour sa part, l’invité du MPS, Ismaïl Haniyeh, et après avoir salué le rôle de l’Algérie pour faire entendre la voix du peuple palestinien et défendre son droit confisqué, a déclaré que “l’Algérie est en tête des pays arabes et musulmans qui refusent toute normalisation avec l’ennemi sioniste”.
