Un terroriste s’est rendu aux autorités militaires à Bordj Badji Mokhtar (6ème Région militaire), alors que 11 éléments de soutien aux groupes terroristes ont été arrêtés par des détachements de l’Armée nationale populaire (ANP), entre le 21 au 27 juin, indique, mardi, un bilan opérationnel du ministère de la Défense nationale (MDN).
“Dans le cadre de la lutte antiterroriste et grâce aux efforts des services de sécurité de l’Armée nationale populaire, le terroriste dénommé Mellouki Mohamed, alias +El-Kakaa+, s’est rendu aux autorités militaires à Bordj Badji Mokhtar, dans la 6ème Région militaire. Ledit terroriste, qui avait rallié, en 2012, les groupes terroristes armés au Sahel, avait en sa possession un (01) pistolet mitrailleur de type Kalachnikov, deux (02) grenades, une quantité de munitions et d’autres objets”, précise la même source.
Dans le même contexte, des détachements de l’Armée nationale populaire “ont arrêté 11 éléments de soutien aux groupes terroristes dans différentes opérations”.
D’autre part, dans le cadre de la lutte contre la criminalité organisée et “en continuité des efforts soutenus visant à contrecarrer le fléau du narcotrafic dans notre pays”, des détachements combinés de l’ANP “ont intercepté, en coordination avec les différents services de sécurité lors d’opérations exécutées à travers les Régions militaires, 79 narcotrafiquants et mis en échec des tentatives d’introduction de 7 quintaux et 8 kilogrammes de kif traité provenant des frontières avec le Maroc, et saisi 356.703 comprimés psychotropes”.
“A Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar et In Guezzam, des détachements de l’ANP ont arrêté 322 individus et saisi 55 véhicules, 182 groupes électrogènes, 59 marteaux piqueurs, 4 détecteurs de métaux, 178,5 tonnes de mélange d’or brut et de pierres, ainsi que des quantités d’explosifs, d’outils de détonation et d’équipements utilisés dans des opérations d’orpaillage illicite”, indique le bilan.
En outre, “26 autres individus ont été arrêtés et 9 fusils de chasse, des quantités de denrées alimentaires destinées à la contrebande et la spéculation s’élevant à 84 tonnes, en sus de 190 tonnes de déchets de cuivre et 11 quintaux de tabacs ont été saisis lors d’opérations distinctes à travers le territoire national”. De même, les Garde-frontières “ont déjoué, en coordination avec les services de la Gendarmerie nationale et des Douanes, des tentatives de contrebande de quantités de carburants s’élevant à 135.968 litres à Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Tébessa, Souk Ahras et El-Tarf”.
Par ailleurs, les Garde-côtes “ont déjoué, au niveau de nos côtes nationales, des tentatives d’émigration clandestine et ont procédé au sauvetage de 45 individus à bord d’embarcations de construction artisanale, alors que 150 immigrants clandestins de différentes nationalités ont été arrêtés à travers le territoire national”.
S’inscrivant dans “la dynamique des efforts soutenus dans la lutte antiterroriste et contre la criminalité organisée multiforme”, ces opérations, exécutées par des unités et des détachements de l’ANP, ont abouti à des “résultats de qualité qui reflètent le haut professionnalisme, la vigilance et la disponibilité permanente de nos Forces armées à travers tout le territoire national”, souligne la même source.
