Le ministre de la Santé, Abdelhak Saihi, a reçu l’ambassadrice du Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne, Sharon Wardle, avec laquelle il a évoqué les voies et moyens de renforcer la coopération bilatérale dans le domaine de la santé, a indiqué vendredi un communiqué du ministère.
Lors de cette audience qui s’est déroulée jeudi au siège du ministère, M. Saihi a précisé que “le système sanitaire algérien repose sur les deux secteurs public et privé, et sur la gratuité des soins offerts à travers le territoire national, en sus de la prévention qui revêt une grande importance pour éviter de nombreuses maladies”.
Le ministre a exprimé, à cette occasion, “son admiration pour la politique sanitaire mise en œuvre au Royaume-Uni, et la volonté de l’Algérie d’en bénéficier à travers l’échange d’expériences et de connaissances entre les hôpitaux algériens et britanniques”.
Il a, en outre, suggéré “la possibilité d’investir dans le domaine de la santé en Algérie”, mettant en exergue, à ce propos, “les avantages prévus par la nouvelle loi sur les investissements, qui permet d’exercer cette activité en toute sécurité et facilité”.
Pour sa part, l’ambassadrice du Royaume-Uni a exprimé “la volonté de son pays de renforcer le niveau de coopération entre les deux pays et de promouvoir le partenariat bilatéral”.
Au terme de cette rencontre, les deux parties ont convenu de “poursuivre les discussions et les consultations sur les projets conjoints pouvant être réalisés, au mieux des intérêts des deux pays”.
