En matière de protection de l’environnement, le ministre de l’Intérieur a annoncé la création de «la spécialité protection de l’environnement relevant directement de la police judiciaire», indiquant que «le Gouvernement a pris récemment une série de décisions relatives à la protection de l’environnement, lesquelles doivent être accompagnées d’actions anticipatives et préventives menées par les autorités publiques, en premier lieu la police, en vue de dissuader toute personne qui tenterait de porter atteinte à l’environnement ou à la santé du citoyen». «Le secteur œuvre à accompagner la police dans le domaine professionnel et les affaires sociales dans la perspective de hisser ce corps au niveau des aspirations de ses éléments, en fonction des moyens offerts et des priorités définies», a affirmé le ministre de l’Intérieur.
