Les travaux de la 27ème réunion du Comité ministériel conjoint de suivi OPEP et non-OPEP (JMMC), ont débuté mercredi par visio-conférence avec la participation du ministre de l’Energie et des Mines, Mohamed Arkab.
Cette réunion sera consacrée notamment à l’examen des perspectives d’évolution du marché pétrolier à court terme.
Lors de la réunion, les membres du JMMC auront également à évaluer, sur la base du rapport du Comité technique conjoint, le niveau de respect des engagements de baisse de la production des pays participants à la Déclaration de coopération pour le mois de janvier 2021.
Le JMMC est composé de sept pays membres de l’Organisation des pays exportateurs de pétrole (OPEP), à savoir l’Algérie, l’Arabie Saoudite, les Emirats Arabes Unis, l’Irak, le Koweït, le Nigeria et le Venezuela et de deux pays non membres de l’Organisation, à savoir la Russie et le Kazakhstan. L’Angola participera, également aux travaux du Comité au titre de Président de l’OPEP.
La réunion du JMMC sera suivie demain jeudi par la 14e réunion ministérielle de l’OPEP et non-OPEP, qui devra décider des niveaux de limitation de leur production pour le mois d’avril et les mois suivants, comme décidé lors de la précédente réunion ministérielle de l’OPEP+.
