Le premier Salon national du livre sera ouvert, jeudi, au Palais des expositions des Pins maritimes (Alger) avec la participation de 216 maisons d’édition, après plus d’une année de suspension des activités culturelles, en raison de la pandémie (Covid-19).
Placé sous le thème “Un livre, une vie”, les visiteurs seront conviés lors de ce Salon à renouer avec la lecture, à la faveur des nouvelles parutions des maisons d’édition comme Casbah, Enag, “El Djazaïr Takra’a” et Dhama.
Organisée au pavillon central du Palais des expositions, cette manifestation sera ponctuée par la présentation de nouveaux ouvrages, fruits de nouvelles expériences littéraires pour la plupart, avec l’organisation de vente-dédicace d’une trentaine d’auteurs parmi ceux ayant publié leurs livres via leurs comptes personnels, en l’absence de noms médiatisés.
L’objectif de ce salon est de “donner une chance aux nouvelles plumes (jeunes) pour faire la promotion d’idées novatrices en vue d’enrichir le programme culturel et professionnel”, a affirmé le président de l’Organisation nationale des éditeurs de livres (ONEL).
24 rencontres thématiques (conférences et ateliers) traitant de la réalité de l’industrie du livre, la distribution, la traduction et le livre scolaire et électronique durant les cinq dernières années en Algérie, outre le piratage et la protection des droits d’auteurs seront également au menu.
Dans le volet culturel, une conférence sera consacrée à l’érudit Mohamed Bencheneb (1869-1929) qui a marqué de son empreinte la littérature, l’histoire, l’éducation et la culture en Algérie.
Il s’agit du premier docteur dans l’histoire du pays et du premier chercheur algérien qui s’est intéressé aux langues et à la traduction. Il est aussi le fondateur de la littérature comparée en Algérie.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids.
