Le Gouvernement a examiné, lors de sa réunion mercredi sous la présidence du Premier ministre, Abdelaziz Djerad, un projet de décret exécutif modifiant et complétant le décret exécutif de 2004 portant réglementation des activités de fabrication, d’importation et de distribution de produits tabagiques.
Selon un communiqué des services du Premier ministre, ce projet de texte, présenté par le ministre des Finances, intervient pour mettre en place l’autorité de régulation du marché du tabac et des produits tabagiques, en définissant sa composition et ses attributions.
Il s’agit notamment de celles afférentes à l’émission de l’avis conforme d’admission ou de rejet à l’égard des demandes d’agréments pour l’exercice des activités de fabrication de tabacs à fumer et/ou à priser et à mâcher ainsi que de retrait des agréments déjà délivrés.
En outre, ce texte vise à octroyer la priorité au capital national et au promoteur local, en lui permettant d’investir dans la fabrication des produits tabagiques de toutes natures, sans qu’il ne soit astreint à s’associer avec un partenaire étranger, a précisé le communiqué.
