Dans son allocution à la clôture des travaux de la 47e réunion du comité exécutif de l’Union, tenus au CIC, Abdellatif Rahal les dimanche et lundi, M. Boughali a déclaré “je note avec fierté le choix fait à l’unanimité d’organiser à Alger la 17e conférence de l’Union des assemblées des états membres de l’OCI”.
Et d’affirmer que l’Algérie “mobilisera tous les moyens afin que l’événement soit particulier et s’érige en un jalon supplémentaire porté à l’action de l’Organisation dans l’objectif de faire valoir davantage l’Islam et promouvoir la coopération entre les pays membres, en application des préceptes de notre religion”.
Créée le 17 juin 1999, l’Union, dont le siège est établi à Téhéran, est composée des assemblées des 54 Etats membres de l’OCI.
