La Palestine a rejeté une demande de l’entité sioniste d’enquête conjointe sur le décès en martyr de la journaliste Shireen Abu Aqleh, assassinée en Palestine occupée par les balles sionistes, a affirmé jeudi le président de l’Etat de Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, lors de la cérémonie funéraire de la journaliste, précisant que l’affaire sera “immédiatement” renvoyée devant la Cour pénale internationale (CPI).
“Nous avons refusé l’enquête conjointe” avec l’occupation, “et nous irons devant la Cour pénale internationale”, a indiqué M. Abbas, cité par l’agence palestinienne de presse, WAFA. Le président Abbas tenu les sionistes, “pleinement responsables du crime”.
Lors de la cérémonie qui a vu une importante présence officielle et populaire, le président palestinien a fait savoir dans un bref discours au siège présidentiel à Ramallah, que l’Etat de Palestine a décidé de décerner à la martyr Abu Aqleh l’Ordre de l’Etoile d’Al-Qods, et deux rues à Ramallah et à Jénine ont été baptisées du nom de la martyre.
M. Abbas a déposé une gerbe de fleurs sur la dépouille de la martyre, enveloppée du drapeau palestinien.
De son côté, un membre du Comité exécutif de l’Organisation de libération de la Palestine (OLP), Hussein Al-Sheikh, avait écrit sur son compte twitter que “nous avons refusé de remettre la balle qui a assassiné la journaliste Abu Aqleh. Nous terminerons notre enquête de manière indépendante, et nous informerons sa famille, l’Amérique, le Qatar et toutes les autorités officielles et populaires des résultats de l’enquête”, a-t-il poursuivi.
Le membre du Comité exécutif a également affirmé que tous les témoins, indices et preuves confirment l’assassinat de Shireen Abu Aqleh par les unités spéciales sionistes.
Shireen Abu Aqleh, 51 ans, une des journalistes les plus connues de la chaîne Al-Jazeera, pour avoir porté courageusement la voix des Palestiniens, a été exécutée avec sang-froid mercredi matin par un tir de l’armée d’occupation sioniste alors qu’elle couvrait des affrontements dans le secteur de Jénine en Cisjordanie occupée, avait rapporté l’agence palestinienne de presse, Wafa. Elle portait un gilet pare-balles siglé “Presse” lors de l’exercice de sa mission.
