Le ministre de l’Intérieur, des Collectivités locales et de l’Aménagement du Territoire, Kamal Beldjoud, a mis en avant, jeudi à Alger, l’évolution et le professionnalisme de la Police algérienne, qui lui ont permis d’accomplir ses missions de la meilleure manière qui soit pour préserver la sécurité et les biens des citoyens.
Lors de la cérémonie de célébration du 60e anniversaire de création de la Police algérienne qui s’est déroulée à l’Ecole supérieure de police “Ali Tounsi”, M. Beldjoud a affirmé que les acquis réalisés visaient “une meilleure préparation pour accomplir les missions de la meilleure manière qui soit, conformément aux obligations de l’action policière, aux exigences du terrain et aux défis de l’heure, et ce, dans le cadre de la préservation de la sécurité du pays et du citoyens ainsi que ses biens conformément à la loi, aux chartes internationales et aux droits de l’homme”.
Estimant que le niveau atteint était “le fruit d’efforts colossaux consentis sur plusieurs front dans le cadre d’une vision clairvoyante reposant sur le professionnalisme et l’efficacité dans le rendement”, le ministre a souligné “l’appui solide des autorités publiques à l’institution sécuritaire, outre l’intérêt accordé par le président de la République à la prise en charge des préoccupations socioprofessionnelles des affiliés à cette institution”.
Il a également souligné l’importance de “renforcer la place de la femme dans les rangs de la sûreté nationale, ainsi que de soutenir les différents services de la police par des moyens modernes, selon une approche qui reflète la volonté sincère de continuer à accompagner cette institution, à la hauteur de sa place et sa renommée”.
Dans ce cadre, il a rappelé tous les “grands sacrifices consentis par ce corps de sécurité au fil des années pour que l’Algérie reste un pays digne et respecté dans les fora internationaux”, soulignant que “ses membres portent toujours l’étendard de la détermination et du sacrifice et réalisent davantage de résultats positifs distingués au service de la sécurité du citoyen et de la lutte contre la criminalité sous toutes ses formes”.
Pour sa part, le directeur général de la sûreté nationale, Farid Bencheikh, a rappelé dans son allocution les missions qui incombent à ce corps dans le cadre des “tâches de maintien de l’ordre public, de la sécurité publique, de la police générale et de l’organisation, et le pouvoir judiciaire représenté par le ministère de la Justice”, soulignant que les services opérationnelles de la Sûreté nationale “œuvrent, dans le cadre de la lutte contre les fléaux sociaux et la criminalité sous toutes ses formes, en coordination permanente avec les instances judiciaires à tous les niveaux”.
Il a également mis en avant “le rôle de la femme policière en termes de développement de la performance professionnelle du corps de la Sûreté nationale”, relevant qu’elle a pu “s’imposer et assumer des responsabilités opérationnelles, entre autres, chef de Sûreté de wilaya et chef de sûreté de wilaya-adjointe pour la première fois dans l’histoire de la Police algérienne, outre la promotion de certaines au niveau central”.
La cérémonie a vu la promotion de nombre de cadres de la sûreté nationale au grades de contrôleur général de police, contrôleur de police, commissaire divisionnaire, commissaire principal, inspecteur et commissaire. L’ancien directeur général de la Sûreté nationale (DGSN), M. Mustapha Lahbiri a été honoré à l’occasion outre le défunt Mohamed Guenifed, à titre posthume, en reconnaissance de leurs efforts déployés au service de l’Institution de Sûreté nationale, la protection du citoyen et la stabilité du pays. Un hommage a été rendu aussi à la première policière après l’indépendance en sus d’autres retraités, cadres et sportifs du secteur.
