Le président de la République sahraouie et Secrétaire général du Front Polisario, Brahim Ghali a affirmé que le peuple sahraoui rejetait la politique de l’occupation marocaine qui poursuit sa politique expansionniste et ses violations des droits de l’Homme, outre le pillage des richesses naturelles dans les territoires sahraouis occupés.
Dans son discours à l’occasion de la célébration du 47e anniversaire de la proclamation de la République sahraouie, M. Ghali a souligné que le 16e Congrès du Front Polisario a tranché que le peuple sahraoui ne pouvait accepter la poursuite par l’occupation marocaine de sa politique expansionniste et de sa violation des droits de l’Homme, du pillage des richesses naturelles de notre pays, outre ses pratiques provocatrices dans des parties occupées de notre pays.
Le président sahraoui a rappelé la violation par le Maroc de l’accord de cessez-le-feu du 13 novembre 2020, ce qui, a-t-il dit, a contraint le peuple sahraoui à reprendre la lutte armée, en tant que droit légitime à même de lui garantir la légalité internationale.
Le Front Polisario “ne peut en aucun cas être partie prenante de toute approche qui ne respecte pas la base claire et la référence juridique du conflit au Sahara occidental, étant une question de décolonisation, en permettant au peuple sahraoui d’exercer son droit inaliénable et non négociable à l’autodétermination et à l’indépendance”, a-t-il ajouté.
Il a appelé l’ONU a permettre, de manière rapide, à la Mission des Nations unies pour l’organisation d’un référendum au Sahara occidental (Minurso), de s’acquitter de ses missions.
Assurant que son pays “avance résolument sur la voie de l’édification, de la consécration de sa place et du parachèvement de sa souveraineté sur tout son territoire national”, le Président sahraoui a réitéré “l’entière disposition de son pays à tenir ses engagements internationaux en faveur de la paix, de la sécurité, de la stabilité et du progrès pour tous les peuples de la région et du monde”.
M. Ghali a également abordé les dimensions et les significations du 47e anniversaire de la proclamation de la République sahraouie, célébré lundi, à travers trois haltes principales parmi les haltes de la lutte du peuple sahraoui.
La 1e halte consiste en la création du Front Polisario, le déclenchement de la lutte armée et la proclamation de l’unité nationale. La 2e halte est celle de l’édification, tandis que la 3e est celle de la conjoncture”.
D’autre part, M. Ghali a appelé l’UA à imposer le respect des principes et des objectifs de son Acte constitutif en matière de décolonisation du Sahara occidental, dans le cadre du respect des frontières héritées au lendemain de l’indépendance et de l’interdiction de s’accaparer des terres d’autrui par la force.
Le président sahraoui a mis en garde contre “les conséquences de la politique d’hostilité et expansionniste de l’Etat marocain d’occupation, mais également contre les tensions et l’instabilité qu’il sème”, réitérant sa condamnation de la position du Gouvernement espagnol en faveur de la thèse de l’occupant marocain, contraire à la position du peuple espagnol qui observe l’élan de solidarité le plus important en faveur de la lutte juste du peuple sahraoui.
Concernant les développements du dossier de la corruption au niveau du Parlement européen, dans lequel le Maroc a été impliqué, le président Ghali a souligné que “la République sahraouie appelle l’UE à prendre rapidement les mesures appropriées, pour dévoiler les faits et adopter une position juste, conforme au droit international, au droit international humanitaire et au droit européen”.
