Kiev dénonce un nouveau bombardement ciblé à Kherson. Cette fois, c’est la maternité de l’hôpital qui aurait été visée par une frappe russe. Quelques jours plus tôt, le 24 décembre, un bombardement avait déjà fait au moins 16 morts dans cette ville reprise aux russes fin novembre.
La Russie a endommagé plus de 700 installations d’infrastructures critiques en Ukraine depuis le 24 février
Le premier vice-ministre de l’Intérieur, Yevhen Yenin, a déclaré mardi qu’au moins 702 installations d’infrastructures critiques en Ukraine ont été touchées depuis le début de l’invasion. Ces installations comprennent des gazoducs, des sous-stations électriques et des ponts. Les attaques russes ont détruit plus de 35.000 objets en Ukraine, a-t-il ajouté.
A partir du 1er février, Moscou ne vendra plus son pétrole aux pays utilisant le prix plafond
Le bras de fer sur le pétrole continu entre le Kremlin et les Occidentaux. La Russie va interdire à partir du 1er février la vente de son pétrole aux pays étrangers qui utilisent le plafonnement du prix de l’or noir russe. Le décret, signé mardi par Vladimir Poutine, est prévu pour une durée de cinq mois.
Le prix plafond avait été fixé début décembre à 60 dollars par baril par l’UE, le G7, et l’Australie ; et vise à priver Moscou de revenus importants pour financer son intervention militaire en Ukraine.
L’Ukraine s’est doté de 1.400 drones
L’Ukraine a acheté près de 1 400 drones, principalement pour des missions de reconnaissance, et prévoit de développer des modèles de combat pour pouvoir attaquer les drones explosifs utilisés par les Russes dans l’invasion du pays, a annoncé le ministre de la transformation digitale, Mykhaïlo Fedorov, à l’agence Associated Press.
“La prochaine étape, maintenant qu’on est plus ou moins équipés avec des drones de reconnaissance, ce sont des drones de combat” a-t-il confié à l’agence de presse américaine.
BAKHMOUT
“Seuls quelques civils” vivent toujours dans la ville de Bakhmout, point chaud des combats dans l’Est de l’Ukraine, a affirmé mercredi le président Volodymyr Zelensky. “L’an dernier, 70.000 personnes y vivaient. Maintenant, seuls quelques civils sont restés”, a déploré Volodymyr Zelensky sur Facebook, sans pour autant préciser combien de civils sont encore dans cette cité.
“Il n’y a pas d’endroit (dans la ville) qui ne soit pas couvert de sang. Il n’y a pas une heure sans que retentisse le terrible rugissement de l’artillerie”, a regretté le président ukrainien, accompagnant son message de plusieurs clichés montrant l’ampleur des dégâts dans la ville.
KREMINA
Ces derniers jours, la Russie a renforcé ses positions autour de la ville occupée de Kremina, dans le Louhansk (à l’est), rapportent les renseignements britanniques dans leur point quotidien. Cette ville est un point vulnérable depuis que les Ukrainiens ont repris la ville de Lyman, située plus au sud, en octobre dernier.
La Russie a mis en place de nouvelles défenses dans cette zone, et devrait a priori concentrer ses forces dans le maintien de cette ligne. Celle-ci est logistiquement importante pour le Donbass, occupé par la Russie. D’autant que Kremina est une ville importante dans la région, dont la “libération” par le Kremlin est au cœur de son discours pour justifier l’offensive armée chez son voisin ukrainien.
AVANCÉE DES TROUPES UKRAINIENNES
Depuis le 23 décembre, les forces ukrainiennes avancent dans le nord est du pays, selon l’Institute for Study of War. Un peu plus au sud, à Bakhmout, les combats sont très violents. Encore plus au sud, les Russes continuent de bombarder les infrastructures civiles.
