L’Algérie suit avec une “profonde préoccupation” les développements de la situation au Niger, condamnant “avec force” la tentative de coup d’Etat qui s’y déroule, a indiqué mercredi un communiqué du ministère des Affaires étrangères et de la Communauté nationale à l’étranger.
“L’Algérie suit avec une profonde préoccupation les développements de la situation dans la République sœur du Niger et condamne avec force la tentative de coup d’Etat qui s’y déroule”, lit-on dans le communiqué.
L’Algérie a réaffirmé, à cette occasion, “son attachement aux principes cardinaux qui guident l’action collective des Etats africains au sein de l’Union africaine, dont notamment le rejet catégorique des changements anticonstitutionnels de gouvernement”.
Elle demande “instamment que soit mis fin à cette atteinte inacceptable à l’ordre constitutionnel et à cette violation grave des exigences de l’Etat de droit” et souligne “l’impératif pour tous d’œuvrer à la préservation de la stabilité politique et institutionnelle de la République du Niger, gage d’une paix et d’une stabilité durables dans ce pays frère et voisin qui fait face à des défis considérables dans une région, déjà confrontée à des crises multidimensionnelles d’une acuité sans précédent”, conclut le communiqué.
