La 4ème édition du festival international du court-métrage de fiction “Imedghassen” s’est ouverte, samedi en soirée au Théâtre régional Salah-Lembarkia, à Batna, en présence d’un public très nombreux.
Les invités du festival, organisé par la coopérative culturelle “El-Lemsa” , ont été accueillis dans une ambiance festive sur le parvis du théâtre régional, et jusqu’à la place lui faisant face, où un tapis rouge a été déroulé en l’honneur des artistes présents à la cérémonie d’ouverture.
Le représentant de la ministre de la Culture et des Arts, Nabil Hadji, présidant l’ouverture de la manifestation aux côtés du wali de Batna, Mohamed Benmalek, a salué les efforts de la jeune équipe en charge de l’organisation qui a su, selon lui, “défier toutes les difficultés afin de faire du festival un succès et lui faire atteindre la 4ème édition”.
M. Hadji a précisé que le festival, rendez-vous international rassemblant des professionnels et de grands noms du 7ème art, d’Algérie et de l’extérieur du pays, confirme l’importance du rôle du cinéma dans la relance de la vie culturelle.
Une relance rendue possible, a-t-il souligné, grâce à l’accompagnement des “initiatives ciblées et constructives” qui favoriseront la créativité eu égard à la position prépondérante de cet art auprès de la jeunesse créative qui porte le flambeau du progrès.
L’organisation de cet événement culturel à dimension internationale, avec la participation de plus de 17 pays frères et amis, coïncide avec la commémoration par l’Algérie de la Journée nationale de la mémoire, le 8 mai 1945, et dans la perspective de la célébration, le 5 juillet prochain, du 62ème anniversaire de l’indépendance.
Plusieurs personnalités artistiques, dont Fatima Halilou, Hassan Benzerari et Mohamed-Tahar Zaoui, d’Algérie, ainsi que Mustapha Zamani, d’Iran ont été honorés lors de la cérémonie d’ouverture du festival.
Pas moins de 21 courts-métrages de fiction, produits dans 17 pays, sont en lice pour les prix de ce festival qui se poursuivra jusqu’au 15 mai, selon le commissaire de la manifestation, Issam Taachit, qui a souligné que cette année, l’événement est marqué par une “présence qualitative” de figures du cinéma, algériens et étrangers, notamment Tahar Boukla (Algérie), Mustapha Zamani (Iran) et Todor Chapkanov (Bulgarie), ce dernier étant le président du jury.
Le festival, qui vise à “relancer la scène culturelle et cinématographique au niveau local et national “, comprendra des ateliers de formation à la réalisation du court-métrage, à l’écriture de scénarios et au jeu d’acteur, encadrés par des artistes spécialisés dans le domaine, a également indiqué le commissaire du festival, notant que le public pourra également assister, hors compétition, à la projection de 4 longs-métrages.
Cette manifestation culturelle donnera également lieu à des excursions au profit des invités de Batna et de l’Algérie qui pourront découvrir la richesse des trésors archéologiques et naturels de la région des Aurès.
