La 14e édition du Festival culturel national de la chanson chaâbie s’est ouverte jeudi soir à Alger, sous la présidence du ministre de la Culture et des Arts, M. Zouhir Ballalou. Organisé du 20 au 23 mars, cet événement rend hommage à l’illustre maître du chaâbi, El Hadj M’Hamed El Anka.
Lors de son discours inaugural au Palais de la Culture Moufdi Zakaria, le ministre a souligné l’importance de ce festival dans la préservation du patrimoine musical algérien. Il a rappelé que cet événement figure parmi les initiatives phares du ministère, visant à valoriser un élément essentiel du patrimoine culturel immatériel du pays.
Un héritage musical enraciné dans l’histoire
“La chanson chaâbie a toujours été le reflet fidèle de la vie du peuple, portant à travers ses mélodies et ses paroles l’écho de ses joies, peines et résistances”, a déclaré M. Ballalou. Il a également mis en lumière l’évolution de cet art, qui puise son inspiration dans les poèmes de Sidi Lakhdar Benkhelouf et s’enrichit des œuvres d’El Hadj M’Hamed El Anka et de Dahmane El Harrachi, témoignant ainsi de son enracinement dans l’identité culturelle algérienne.
Le festival se donne pour mission de détecter de nouveaux talents capables de perpétuer cette tradition musicale tout en l’adaptant aux sonorités contemporaines, à l’image des grands maîtres tels que Mahboub Bati, Boujemaâ El Ankis et El Hachemi Guerouabi, qui ont su moderniser le chaâbi sans en altérer l’authenticité.
Transmission et formation au cœur du festival
Le commissaire du festival, Abdelkader Bendamèche, a insisté sur le rôle pédagogique de cette édition, mettant en avant les formations artistiques destinées aux jeunes talents. Il a rappelé l’organisation récente d’ateliers encadrés par des professeurs spécialisés, soulignant ainsi l’importance de la formation pour préserver cet héritage musical.
Une ouverture en musique et en images
Devant un public enthousiaste, la cérémonie d’ouverture a été marquée par une prestation de l’orchestre dirigé par El Hadi El Anka, qui a interprété le morceau emblématique *Al Hamdou Lillah ma bkach isti’mar fi bladna* d’El Hadj M’Hamed El Anka. Le jeune lauréat de la précédente édition, Lounissi Mohamed Yacine d’Aïn Defla, a ensuite repris plusieurs classiques du chaâbi.
Au total, 17 candidats issus de diverses wilayas sont en lice cette année. La première soirée a mis en lumière plusieurs interprètes prometteurs, dont Kourak Mohamed Amine (Tiaret), Chaâbane Mustapha (Béjaïa), Benmessaï Sarah (Blida), Lamini Mohamed Merouane (Alger) et Belkessiah Mohamed Amine (Mostaganem), qui ont été distingués pour leur performance.
Le festival, placé sous l’égide du ministère de la Culture et des Arts, est jugé par un comité d’experts composé de Zerrouk Mokdad (président), Sid Ali Driss, Nacer Mokdad, Mustapha Bouafia et Khaled Chehlal.
Hommage à El Hadj M’Hamed El Anka
La soirée d’ouverture a également été ponctuée par la projection d’un documentaire retraçant la vie et le parcours du légendaire Hadj M’hamed El Anka (1907-1978). Un enregistrement vidéo sur les sessions de formation proposées aux candidats a également été diffusé.
Créé en 2006, le Festival culturel national de la chanson chaâbie se donne pour mission de préserver et transmettre cet art populaire aux nouvelles générations en assurant un encadrement pédagogique de qualité.
