Dans le cadre de sa politique de préservation et de promotion de son patrimoine culturel, l’Algérie a officiellement déposé un dossier de candidature auprès de l’UNESCO pour l’inscription de **« l’art de l’ornementation avec des bijoux en argent émaillé de l’habit féminin de la région de Kabylie : fabrication, conception et port »** sur la liste du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’humanité. L’annonce a été faite mercredi par le ministère de la Culture et des Arts, qui a précisé que le dossier a été transmis par voie électronique.
Une démarche de sauvegarde du patrimoine
Cette initiative s’inscrit dans une volonté affirmée de **préserver et valoriser le patrimoine immatériel algérien**. Pour officialiser cette démarche, le ministre de la Culture et des Arts, Zouhir Ballalou, a présidé dimanche dernier une cérémonie au siège du **Centre national de recherche en préhistoire, anthropologie et histoire (CNRPAH)** à Alger, marquant l’envoi du dossier. Cette procédure a été menée en **coordination avec le ministère des Affaires étrangères**, conformément aux exigences de l’UNESCO.
Un engagement renforcé pour la reconnaissance du patrimoine
Avec cette nouvelle candidature, l’Algérie poursuit ses efforts en faveur de la reconnaissance internationale de son **héritage culturel**. À ce jour, **huit éléments du patrimoine national** ont déjà été inscrits sur la liste du patrimoine immatériel de l’humanité, dont le plus récent est **le costume festif féminin de l’Est algérien**, comprenant la gandoura, la melhfa, le caftan et les bijoux traditionnels assortis.
Par ailleurs, l’Algérie s’est également distinguée en collaborant avec plusieurs pays arabes et africains pour l’inscription de **cinq éléments patrimoniaux communs**, renforçant ainsi son rôle actif dans la conservation du **patrimoine culturel vivant** à l’échelle internationale.
Une mobilisation nationale autour du projet
L’élaboration de ce dossier a nécessité la mobilisation de nombreux acteurs, notamment **les directions de la Culture et des Arts, des institutions culturelles et muséales, des chercheurs universitaires, des artisans, ainsi que des associations locales**. Sous la coordination du **CNRPAH**, ce travail collectif a permis d’assurer une candidature conforme aux critères de l’UNESCO, qui fixe chaque année au **31 mars** la date limite de dépôt des dossiers.
Vers d’autres candidatures à l’UNESCO
Le ministère de la Culture et des Arts poursuit ses efforts en vue d’inscrire d’autres éléments du patrimoine algérien sur la liste de l’UNESCO. Plusieurs dossiers sont en cours de préparation, notamment sur **les genres musicaux traditionnels des différentes régions d’Algérie** ainsi que sur **les costumes traditionnels du centre et du Grand Sud du pays**.
Ces dossiers seront soumis à l’examen des instances compétentes en vue de leur dépôt auprès du comité intergouvernemental du patrimoine immatériel, **l’UNESCO n’autorisant qu’une candidature par an et par pays**.
Avec cette démarche, l’Algérie réaffirme son engagement à préserver et promouvoir son **héritage culturel ancestral**, en assurant sa transmission aux générations futures et sa reconnaissance à l’échelle mondiale.
