À l’occasion du 185e anniversaire de la naissance de Piotr Ilitch Tchaïkovski, l’Opéra d’Alger Boualem-Bessaïh a accueilli, jeudi, un concert symphonique exceptionnel intitulé « Piotr Tchaïkovski, une musique au-delà des frontières ». Ce grand hommage au célèbre compositeur russe a réuni une sélection de musiciens et de vocalistes issus des plus prestigieuses institutions musicales de Russie, devant un public nombreux et conquis.
Organisé dans le cadre de la coopération culturelle entre l’Algérie et la Russie, ce spectacle s’est déroulé en présence de personnalités diplomatiques et culturelles, dont le Chargé d’affaires de l’ambassade de Russie, Alekseï Kocheshkov, l’ambassadeur de Chine Dong Guangli, la directrice de la Culture d’Alger Yamina Bendaoud, et le directeur de l’Opéra, Abdelkader Bouazzara.
Le programme, riche et raffiné, a proposé une quinzaine de pièces en solo ou en duo, mettant en lumière l’œuvre de Tchaïkovski, mais aussi celles de grands compositeurs comme Rachmaninov, Rimski-Korsakov, Bizet, Verdi, Puccini ou Di Capua. Les instrumentistes virtuoses Alexander Poltoratsky (violon), Rozalina Husseinzade (violoncelle) et Daniil Borzenko (piano) ont accompagné des voix puissantes et expressives telles qu’Askar Abdrazakov (basse), Valery Makarov (ténor), Lada Merculeva (soprano) et Emira Dakhlia (mezzo-soprano), interprétant des extraits d’opéras emblématiques comme La Dame de pique, Eugène Onéguine, Carmen, Rigoletto ou La Bohème. En apothéose, la célèbre chanson populaire russe Kalinka-Malinka a clôturé la soirée dans une ambiance festive et partagée.
Cette célébration s’est prolongée les 22 et 23 juillet avec une exposition, une conférence animée par des experts russes sur la vie et l’héritage de Tchaïkovski, ainsi que quatre ateliers spécialisés consacrés au violon, au piano classique, au chant lyrique et à la direction artistique d’orchestre.
Placée sous l’égide du ministère de la Culture et des Arts, cette initiative a été rendue possible grâce à la collaboration de l’Opéra d’Alger, de la Fondation internationale Nadejda von Meck, et du Fonds présidentiel russe pour les initiatives culturelles, offrant ainsi un vibrant hommage à un maître de la musique symphonique, dont l’œuvre traverse les siècles et les frontières.
