La présidence palestinienne a exprimé vendredi son rejet catégorique et sa ferme condamnation des décisions extrêmement graves approuvées par l’entité sioniste visant à réoccuper entièrement la bande de Gaza et à déporter de force près d’un million de Palestiniens de cette ville, faisant savoir qu’elle allait saisir d’urgence le Conseil de sécurité de l’ONU pour exiger une action contraignante et immédiate à même de mettre fin à ces crimes.
Dans un communiqué repris par l’agence de presse Wafa, la présidence a qualifié cette politique de “crime pleinement constitué, relevant d’une poursuite de la politique de génocide, de meurtres systématiques, de famine et de blocus, et constituant une violation flagrante du droit international humanitaire et des résolutions de la légalité internationale”.
Mettant en garde contre les conséquences de ces plans sionistes, fondés sur le meurtre, la faim et le déplacement forcé, “qui risquent de conduire à une catastrophe humanitaire sans précédent”, la présidence palestinienne a souligné que “ces actions s’ajoutent aux crimes commis en Cisjordanie occupée, notamment l’expansion des colonies, l’annexion de terres palestiniennes, le terrorisme des colons, les attaques contre les lieux saints, la rétention des fonds palestiniens, et la destruction des institutions étatiques palestiniennes”.
Elle a réaffirmé, à cet égard, que le peuple palestinien refusera “toute politique d’imposition de faits accomplis par la force, et reste attaché à ses droits nationaux inaliénables, au premier rang desquels son droit à l’autodétermination et à l’établissement de son Etat indépendant avec El Qods-Est pour capitale”.
La présidence palestinienne a fait savoir que face à cette escalade extrêmement dangereuse, elle a décidé de lancer immédiatement des contacts avec les parties concernées à l’échelle internationale et de saisir d’urgence le Conseil de sécurité des Nations unies pour exiger une action contraignante et immédiate visant à mettre fin à ces crimes.
Par ailleurs, la présidence a appelé à la tenue de sessions d’urgence de l’Organisation de la coopération islamique (OCI) et du Conseil de la Ligue arabe, afin de coordonner une position arabe, islamique et internationale unifiée pour protéger le peuple palestinien et arrêter l’agression.
