Trois (3) contrebandiers armés de nationalité étrangère ont été neutralisés, lors d’un accrochage, dans la soirée de mercredi dans le Secteur opérationnel de In Guezzam, par des détachements combinés de l’Armée nationale populaire (ANP), indique, jeudi, un communiqué du ministère de la Défense nationale (MDN).
“Dans la dynamique des efforts soutenus des unités de l’Armée nationale populaire dans la lutte contre la criminalité organisée et le trafic des métaux précieux, notamment le long de notre bande frontalière, et grâce à l’exploitation optimale des renseignements, des détachements combinés de l’ANP ont neutralisé dans la soirée d’hier 18 mars 2026, lors d’un accrochage avec un groupe criminel dans le Secteur opérationnel de In Guezzam en 6e Région Militaire, trois (3) contrebandiers armés de nationalité étrangère”, précise la même source.
Cette opération a permis de récupérer “deux (2) pistolets mitrailleurs de type kalachnikov, deux (2) chargeurs et une quantité de munitions ainsi qu’un (1) véhicules tout-terrain, contenant cent cinquante (150) kilogrammes d’or brut”, ajoute le communiqué.
“Ces résultats de terrain qui s’inscrivent dans le cadre des efforts continus de lutte contre la criminalité organisée et la contrebande, interviennent à la veille de la célébration de l’Aïd El-Fitr et viennent confirmer, une nouvelle fois, la vigilance et la disponibilité des personnels de l’ANP à assurer la sécurité de nos frontières nationales et protéger nos ressources précieuses en toute circonstance”, souligne le communiqué du MDN.
