Les signataires de l’appel pour la réappropriation de l’UGTA par les travailleurs et pour la tenue d’un congrès national extraordinaire avant la fin de l’année ont rendu publique une nouvelle déclaration dans laquelle ils se disent déterminés à aller jusqu’au bout de leur démarche.
Rendant compte de leur réunion tenue le 8 mai dernier au siège de l’Union locale de Rouiba, pour faire un bilan des actions réalisées et arrêter un programme des actions à venir, les frondeurs, qui représentent quatre unions de wilayas (Béjaïa, Saïda, Tizi Ouzou et Tlemcen), en plus de la Fédération nationale des travailleurs des mines et assimilés, décident de maintenir la pression sur la direction actuelle de la centrale syndicale, en appelant les syndicalistes et les travailleurs à maintenir et à renforcer la mobilisation à travers la multiplication des rassemblements, à partir du 22 mai prochain, pour «dire non au congrès préfabriqué du 20 juin» et exiger le départ des membres du secrétariat national avec, à leur tête, le secrétaire général, «ainsi que de tous ceux qui les soutiennent», insistent les signataires.
Les frondeurs prévoient également, entre autres actions de protestation, l’organisation, le 12 juin prochain, sur l’esplanade de la Maison du peuple à Alger, d’un rassemblement national des syndicalistes et des travailleurs autour des mêmes mots d’ordre.
Enfin, les détracteurs d’Abdelmadjid Sidi-Saïd lancent auprès des travailleurs ainsi qu’à travers internet une pétition nationale intitulée «Un million de signatures pour exiger la restitution de l’UGTA aux travailleurs».
