Où sont passés nos officiels ?
Des supporters de l’équipe nationale de football ont relayé ces derniers jours des images et des vidéos montrant une grande affiche installée à l’entrée de l’aéroport du Caire, à l’occasion de la Coupe d’Afrique des nations organisée en Egypte. Cette affiche officielle reproduit la carte géographique de l’Afrique, frappée de plusieurs drapeaux de pays africains supposés représenter le continent noir mais sans celui de l’Algérie.
De nombreux fans des Fennecs ont exprimé, par des commentaires postés dans les réseaux sociaux, leur indignation et leur protestation pour ce mépris injustifié à l’encontre de l’Algérie. Le gérant de la page officielle de la «Coupe d’Afrique 2019» qui a publié cette image a essayé de calmer les esprits, en tentant d’expliquer que l’affiche en question n’était pas officielle mais plutôt touristique.
Loin d’être convaincus, beaucoup d’Algériens ont demandé aux autorités algériennes, et notamment à la Fédération algérienne de football, d’adresser une protestation officielle à son homologue égyptienne pour exiger des excuses et une rectification rapide de cette grave erreur. Leur silence reste, d’ailleurs, inexpliqué, à l’heure où – hasard de l’histoire – la polémique enfle en Algérie suite aux sérieuses mises en garde du chef d’état-major de l’ANP contre le port de tout drapeau autre que l’emblème national dans les manifestations populaires, en arguant que celui-ci demeure le symbole de la souveraineté populaire et de l’unité nationale.
Au même moment, le Maroc a eu droit à des excuses officielles du comité d’organisation de la Coupe d’Afrique des nations, confirmées par l’ambassadeur d’Egypte à Rabat, suite à une protestation que lui avait adressée le gouvernement marocain après la diffusion d’un vidéo clip officiel montrant leur drapeau caractéristique du Sahara Occidental délimitant les territoires occupés.
Le diplomate égyptien a précisé qu’une enquête était en cours pour déterminer les responsabilités dans ce qu’il qualifie de «grave manquement», tout en promettant que la version finale du clip officiel sera «revue et corrigée».
Selon des sources informées, le Maroc a mobilisé dans les coulisses un grand nombre de pays participants qui menaçaient de rappeler leurs équipes pour exiger le retrait du drapeau du clip. Le chantage a fonctionné. Mais chez nous, les officiels s’attaquent au drapeau Amazighe. Quelle coïncidence !
