Le ministre de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche scientifique, Abdelbaki Benziane a reçu, dimanche à Alger, Pierre Audin, fils du militant de la cause algérienne, Maurice Audin, dans le cadre de l’encouragement du partenariat entre les établissements de recherche scientifique et l’Association Josette et Maurice Audin.
L’audience accordée à Pierre Audin, en tant que fils du militant Maurice Audin, et mathématicien responsable au sein de l’Association Josette et Maurice Audin, s’inscrit dans le cadre des démarches visant à “encourager le travail commun entre les établissements algériens de la recherche scientifique et l’Association Josette et Maurice Audin pour définir les normes à même de généraliser l’enseignement des mathématiques dans les établissements universitaires et éducatifs”, a précisé le ministre.
Dans ce cadre il a rappelé que l’Ecole nationale polytechnique d’Oran (ENPO) a été baptisée, en avril 2017, du nom de Maurice Audin, soulignant l’importance historique et scientifique que cela représente pour l’Algérie.
Pour sa part, Pierre Audin a évoqué la possibilité de “pérenniser” le Prix de mathématiques Maurice-Audin attribué, en même temps, à deux personnalités du domaine, française et Algérienne.
Il a également proposé “la possibilité d’accueillir des compétences en mathématiques dans le cadre des sessions scientifiques en Algérie ou en France pour développer la coopération en la matière”.
Dans ce sillage, M. Audin a affirmé avoir perçu “une véritable volonté” chez les étudiants algériens, mettant en avant leurs “prédisposition et capacités scientifiques” à proposer des projets et des activités dans le domaine des mathématiques.
