Le Général d’Armée Saïd Chanegriha, Chef d’Etat-Major de l’Armée nationale populaire (ANP), a pris part, mardi, par visioconférence, à la 10e Conférence internationale sur la sécurité, tenue à Moscou (Russie), indique un communiqué du ministère de la Défense nationale (MDN).
Le Général d’Armée a adressé, au début de son intervention, “ses remerciements à la partie russe pour son invitation à prendre part aux travaux de cette Conférence qui constitue une opportunité pour l’échange de points de vue et l’évaluation des sujets ayant trait à la sécurité internationale”, précise la même source
“Je tiens, de prime abord, à vous présenter mes remerciements pour l’aimable invitation que vous m’avez adressée, pour prendre part aux travaux de la 10e Conférence internationale sur la sécurité, tenue à Moscou, que je souhaite fructueuse et bénéfique à l’ensemble des participants”, a déclaré le Général d’Armée, estimant que cette conférence “reflète la bonne volonté de la Fédération de Russie à renforcer nos relations et constitue une opportunité pour l’échange de points de vue et l’évaluation des sujets ayant trait à la sécurité internationale”.
Le Chef d’Etat-Major de l’ANP a évoqué, dans son intervention, “les spécificités des défis sécuritaires auxquels fait face le continent africain”, déclarant à ce propos: “Effectivement, l’Afrique riche en ressources, avec une croissance démographique et des atouts considérables à l’instar de la biodiversité, des ressources souterraines, des réserves énergétiques et hydriques, se trouve face à une situation complexe d’instabilité politico-économique engendrée par de nombreux défis sécuritaires et économiques”.
“Un contexte qui requiert le soutien et l’accompagnement de la communauté internationale”, a-t-il affirmé, précisant que “cette situation fragile a déstabilisé un nombre de pays et impacté leurs économies et leur sécurité, faisant de l’Afrique le fief des activités criminelles qui répandent la menace terroriste et la criminalité organisée transfrontalière multiforme”.
Le Général d’Armée a souligné, à cet égard, qu'”il est temps pour la communauté internationale d’être consciente de l’importance du maintien de la paix dans le monde, en se focalisant sur la sécurité humanitaire et en prenant en charge les véritables causes des crises dans le monde en général et en Afrique en particulier”.
“Je vous le confirme aujourd’hui que l’expérience acquise tout au long des années passées durant notre lutte contre le terrorisme, nous a prouvé que nul pays n’est à l’abri de la menace terroriste et de ses ramifications, et que la lutte contre ce phénomène ne pourra jamais être du ressort d’un seul pays”, a relevé le Général d’Armée.
A ce titre, “il est temps pour la communauté internationale d’être consciente de l’importance du maintien de la paix dans le monde en se focalisant sur la sécurité humanitaire, en prenant en charge les véritables causes des crises dans le monde en général et en Afrique en particulier et en renforçant les capacités militaires, en vue d’atteindre l’efficacité requise dans le domaine de la lutte contre le terrorisme et la criminalité organisée transfrontalière”, a-t-il conclu.
