Des films documentaires sur les causes et les mouvements de libération en Palestine et au Sahara occidental, abordant le drame des déplacés et la condition de la femme ou encore la préservation de l’identité, ont été projetés mercredi à Alger dans le cadre du 11e Festival international du cinéma d’Alger (Fica).
Présentés au public au Palais de la culture Moufdi-Zakaria, ces films documentaires ont été sélectionné dans le focus “cinéma, mémoire et résistance” dédié à des oeuvres qui perpétuent la mémoire et dénoncent les injustices.
Réalisé par Rabah Slimani, “Wanibik, le peuple qui vit face à sa terre”, dénonce les exaction de l’occupant marocain contre le peuple sahraoui et braque les projecteurs sur le “mur de la honte” érigé par le Maroc dans les années 1980. Pour ce faire, le réalisateur algérien va suivre le quotidien de jeunes sahraouis étudiants de l’Ecole de cinéma dans les camps de réfugiés à Tindouf.
En 95mn, ce documentaire retrace la réalisation du projet de fin d’études de ce groupe qui a choisi le “mur de la honte” comme représentation de la division des terres sahraouies et du déplacement forcé des populations sous l’occupation.
“Wanibik” restitue également de nombreux témoignages de réfugiés sahraouis qui ont perdu leurs proches dans les explosions des innombrables mines antipersonnel, ainsi que la grande conviction de la femme sahraouie et sa lutte pour l’indépendance de son pays.
Préserver son identité malgré la colonisation est le thème principal du court métrage documentaire “Fil de soie”, de la réalisatrice palestinienne Walaa Saada, qui montre un élément important du patrimoine culturel palestinien, la robe traditionnelle de la mariée tissée par les femmes, et transmise de génération en génération comme un acte de résistance identitaire.
Dans ce pays étranglé de toutes parts, le réalisateur algérien Mehdi Belmechri donne la parole dans “Voix Murées” aux femmes palestiniennes de plusieurs générations et de milieux sociaux différents pour restituer leur quotidien, leur résistance, leur désir de liberté et leurs rêves tout en donnant un aperçu vivant de toutes les difficultés d’assumer son statut de femme instruites, ambitieuses et résistantes.
Abordant dans le sens de ce panel qui a évoqué longuement la problématique de l’accès aux archives, l’Italienne Monica Maurer propose dans “Yom EL Ard” (Le jour de la terre), un court métrage documentaire réalisé à partir de montage de nombreuses images d’archives produites par des Palestiniens sur la Palestine lors des 37 dernières années et que l’administration coloniale s’efforce de faire disparaître.
Le 11e Fica se poursuit jusqu’au 10 décembre avec encore au programme des focus, une sélection dédiée au cinéma et à la femmes.
