La Commission électorale suprême turque a officiellement annoncé, dimanche soir, que Recep Tayyip Erdogan est le vainqueur du second tour des élections présidentielles avec 52,14% des voix.
La Commission, qui est officiellement chargée d’organiser les élections en Turquie et d’annoncer leurs résultats, a indiqué dans un communiqué que le candidat de l’opposition, Kemal Kiliçdaroglu, a obtenu 47,86% des voix, après le dépouillement de 99,43% des suffrages.
Les chiffres de la Commission montrent que M. Erdogan, qui entamera son troisième mandat présidentiel, a obtenu plus de 27 millions de voix, tandis que Kiliçdaroglu a obtenu plus de 25 millions de voix.
Le nombre de votes comptabilisés s’est élevé à plus de 51 millions, répartis dans 192.214 bureaux de vote.
M. Erdogan a remporté la majorité des voix dans 52 provinces.
Quant à M. Kiliçdaroglu, il a remporté la majorité des voix dans 29 provinces.
Alors que quelque 64 millions d’électeurs étaient appelés à se rendre aux urnes pour ce scrutin, le taux de participation s’est élevé à 85,67%. De plus, près de 1,9 million de Turcs ont déjà voté à l’étranger du 20 au 24 mai.
