Le président de la République, M. Abdelmadjid Tebboune a remercié, jeudi à Moscou, son homologue russe Vladimir Poutine, pour avoir accepté la médiation algérienne dans le conflit opposant la Russie à l’Ukraine, affirmant que l’Algérie “sera à la hauteur de cette confiance”.
Dans une déclaration conjointe, le président de la République a exprimé ses remerciements au président Poutine “pour son accueil et pour avoir accepté la médiation de l’Algérie dans le conflit opposant actuellement la Russie, pays ami, à l’Ukraine”.
Le Président Tebboune a affirmé à son homologue russe que l’Algérie “sera à la hauteur de cette confiance”.
Pour sa part, le Président Poutine a remercié l’Algérie et le Président Tebboune pour cette disposition à fournir des efforts de médiation dans le conflit opposant son pays à l’Ukraine.
Rappelant que l’Algérie est membre du groupe de contact de la Ligue arabe sur l’Ukraine, le Président Poutine a indiqué avoir expliqué au Président Tebboune “la vision russe, les origines de ce conflit, et les circonstances qui l’entourent”.
Le président russe a fait savoir qu’il recevra, samedi, des chefs de délégations du continent africain pour débattre de l’initiative proposée par l’Algérie pour le règlement du conflit russo-ukrainien.
