Un accord portant sur l’approvisionnement des marchés de l’Afrique de l’Ouest en équipements électriques algériens, d’une valeur de 480 millions de dollars, a été signé, dimanche, en marge des activités de la Foire commerciale intra-africaine (IATF 2025) organisée du 4 au 10 septembre.
L’accord a été conclu entre le groupe industriel algérien “GISB ELECTRIC”, spécialisé dans la fabrication d’équipements électriques, et le groupe “SOGELUX”, distributeur de ces équipements au Sénégal et en Côte d’Ivoire.
Ont signé cet accord le PDG de “GISB ELECTRIC”, M. Kobibi Djilani Bachir, et le représentant de “SOGELUX” au Sénégal, M. Tham Ibrahim, en présence du directeur général de l’Agence algérienne de promotion de l’investissement (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, du directeur du commerce, de l’investissement et de la coopération financière à la Banque africaine d’import-export (Afreximbank), Ayman El-Zoghbi et du représentant du Conseil du renouveau économique algérien (CREA), M. Ali Oumellal.
En vertu de cet accord, “GISB ELECTRIC” exportera pour plus de 300 millions de dollars des équipements électriques au profit de SOGELUX au Sénégal et en Côte d’Ivoire, qui seront ensuite acheminés vers les marchés de la Communauté économique des Etats de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (CEDEAO), et ce sur une période de trois ans.
L’accord prévoit également la réalisation d’investissements industriels d’une valeur de 180 millions de dollars au Sénégal et en Côte d’Ivoire dans les secteurs de l’industrie électrique.
Dans une déclaration à la presse, M. Kobibi Djilani Bachir a expliqué que les matières premières et les technologies seront algériennes, tandis que la société SOGELUX se chargera des opérations de gestion et de distribution.
De son côté, M. Tham a souligné que l’Algérie dispose d’une expertise considérable dans les industries électriques, affirmant que ce partenariat constitue une opportunité de l’élargir à travers le continent, d’autant plus que l’Afrique connaît une demande croissante dans ce domaine, d’où la nécessité, a-t-il dit, de créer de nouvelles usines.
