Me Mustapha Bouchachi a réagi à l’arrestation et la mise sous mandat de dépôt de Said Bouteflika et des généraux Toufik et Tartag. « La personne qui a pensé à faire ces choses, est un criminel. Il faut qu’il soit jugée », a déclaré l’avocat et militant des droits de l’Homme au sujet des accusations portées contre les généraux Toufik et Tartag, de « complot contre l’autorité de l’Etat », et « atteinte à l’autorité de l’armée ». En ce qui concerne Said Bouteflika, Me Bouchachi a rappelé que « cela fait six ans » que le frère de l’ex-président « commettait des actes criminels contre le peuple ».
Pour Me Bouchachi, ces poursuites « sont justifiées », parce qu’elles sont « revendiquées » par la population. « Mais, il ne faut pas qu’ils nous bernent avec ces arrestations pour aller aux élections », prévient Me Bouchachi, en rappelant que la principale revendication du mouvement populaire est le départ du régime. « Notre principale revendication est le départ du régime », a-t-il remarqué.
Me Bouchachi a estimé que Bedoui et Bensalah, « doivent partir », en soulignant qu’il « ne peut y avoir » des présidentielles le 4 juillet, parce que « les Algériens refusent les élections ». L’avocat a plaidé pour une période de transition gérée par des hommes intègres. « On ne peut pas faire des élections en deux ou trois mois, sauf pour reproduire le même système », a-t-il dit.
