Le Moudjahid Lakhdar Bouregaâ a été inhumé jeudi au milieu de l’après-midi au cimetière de Sidi Yahia en présence d’une foule immense.
Le cercueil du défunt transporté dans une ambulance de la protection civile a été accompagné d’une immense foule qui scandait des slogans à la gloire du Moudjahid mais aussi chers au Hirak.
Le commandant Bouregaa est né en 1933 à El Oumaria dans la wilaya de Médéa, Lakhdar Bouragaa a déserté l’armée française où il passait son service militaire pour regagner les rangs de l’ALN (wilaya 4).
Il sera chef de zone 2 de 1959 à 1960,ensuite membre du dernier conseil de la wilaya 4 avant l’indépendance avec le grade de commandant.
Après l’indépendance, opposant politique au Front de libération national (FLN), parti unique, il avait été torturé et emprisonné de 1967 à 1975 sous la présidence de Houari Boumediene.
Lakhdar Bouregaâ fut l’un des membres fondateurs du Front des forces socialistes (FFS), le plus ancien parti d’opposition d’Algérie, en 1963. ll avait été à nouveau jeté en prison du 30 juin 2019 au 2 janvier 2020 après s’être engagé aux côtés du Hirak.
Le commandant Bouregaâ avait été alors inculpé d'”outrage à corps constitué” et “de participation à une entreprise de démoralisation de l’armée ayant pour objet de nuire à la Défense nationale”.
Son arrestation puis son placement en détention préventive avaient suscité une vive indignation en Algérie, notamment sur les réseaux sociaux. Il participait régulièrement aux marches hebdomadaires du Hirak.
