La chambre correctionnelle près la Cour de Tipasa a décidé, lundi, du report au 28 juin prochain du procès en appel de Karim Tabou, condamné en première instance à une peine d’une année de prison avec sursis pour “atteinte au moral de l’armée”.
La chambre correctionnelle a reporté la première audience de ce procès en appel, programmé après le jugement rendu à l’encontre de Karim Tabou le 7 décembre dernier par le Tribunal de première instance de Koléa dont l’appel a été interjeté par le Parquet de la même juridiction mais aussi par la Défense de l’accusé.
Le Tribunal de Koléa avait condamné le président du parti de l’Union démocratique et sociale (UDS) (non agréé), Karim Tabbou, poursuivi pour “atteinte au moral de l’armée”, à un (1) an de prison avec sursis assorti d’une amende de 100.000 Da.
Suite aux délibérations dans cette affaire dont les faits remontent au mois de mai 2019, la même juridiction a décidé d’abandonner l’accusation d'”atteinte à l’unité du territoire national” retenue contre Karim Tabbou.
Le procureur de la République prés le Tribunal de Koléa avait requis une peine de trois ans de prison ferme contre Karim Tabbou, assortie d’une amende de 100.000 DA, considérant que les déclarations de l’accusé, en mai 2019, “étaient dangereuses et destinées à l’opinion publique nationale avec toutes ses composantes dans un contexte politique sensible traversé par l’Algérie”.
