Des camionneurs algériens ont fait l’objet d’une attaque commise par un groupe armé composé de quatre individus circulant à motos à Gao, au Mali, faisant trois blessés, a indiqué samedi, un communiqué du ministère des Affaires étrangères et de la communauté nationale à l’étranger.
“L’attaque a eu lieu aux abords de la ville de Gao, au Mali, à deux heures du matin dans la nuit du 8 juillet, dans un campement utilisé par les camionneurs pour se reposer. Les assaillants avaient réclamé de l’argent. N’ayant pas obtenu gain de cause, ils ont recouru à l’utilisation de leurs armes à feu, des klachnikovs selon les camionneurs”, précise la même source.
Selon le communiqué du ministère “trois ressortissants algériens camionneurs ont été blessés, dont un grièvement. Ils ont été évacués sur l’hôpital de Gao, où ils ont été pris en charge. Un est déjà sorti de l’hôpital alors que les deux autres sont maintenus sous contrôle médical.”
Le ministère fait remarquer que “selon les informations disponibles aucun pronostic vital n’est engagé. Cet acte criminel n’a pas été revendiqué et est attribué par des habitants de cette ville aux bandes criminelles qui activent dans cette région du Mali”.
“Le convoi est composé de sept camions avec sept chauffeurs engagés par une société algérienne dans des activités de transport de marchandises entre les deux pays”, précise, en outre, le ministère, soulignant que “l’ambassade d’Algérie à Bamako suit de près la situation de ces ressortissants”.
