Le ministre de l’Energie et des Mines, Mohamed Arkab a procédé, samedi, au lancement des travaux d’exploitation de la mine de fer de Gara Djebilet (Tindouf), dans le cadre de sa visite dans cette wilaya.
Le lancement des travaux a eu lieu dans la zone ouest de Gara Djebilet où se déroulera la phase expérimentale pour l’exploitation de cette mine.
Gara Djebilet-Ouest s’étend sur 5.000 hectares, soit le tiers de la superficie totale de la mine (15.000 ha).
Selon les explications fournies au ministre, les réserves de la zone Ouest sont de l’ordre de 1 milliard de tonnes de fer.
