Le président de la République, M. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a adressé, samedi, un message à la veille de la commémoration de l’anniversaire des manifestations du 11 décembre 1960,
“Au nom d’Allah, le Clément, le Miséricordieux,
Prière et paix sur son Messager,
Les journées mémorables de l’Algérie se succèdent pour consolider, à chaque anniversaire de nos glorieux souvenirs, le sentiment de fierté chez la Nation, et rappeler les luttes des générations et le combat du peuple qui s’est distingué par son attachement aux valeurs de liberté et de dignité, s’érigeant en modèle répertorié dans les annales de l’histoire et cité à chaque fois qu’il s’agit de lutter contre le colonialisme injuste ou de relever les défis et les épreuves pour se libérer de son emprise.
Le soixante-deuxième (62) anniversaire des manifestations du 11 décembre 1960 n’est qu’une autre page de l’histoire de la Nation témoignant d’un élan national grandiose qui demeurera gravé à jamais dans la mémoire collective en tant que journée historique inscrite dans le registre de l’Algérie, depuis les résistances populaires, à la lutte politique durant le Mouvement national jusqu’à la lutte armée.
Cette journée (11 décembre 1960) avait accéléré l’internationalisation de la question algérienne et son examen au sein de l’ONU, ces cris qui s’étaient élevés contre le colonisateur inique dans plusieurs villes du pays ayant eu un écho déterminant au double plan interne et externe, contribuant ainsi au renforcement des démarches diplomatiques et médiatiques du Gouvernement provisoire à l’époque, et augurant d’un triomphe imminent et indubitable.
Les manifestations du 11 décembre 1960 suivies de celles du 17 octobre 1961 à Paris puis de la fête de la Victoire le 19 mars 1962 et celle de l’Indépendance célébrée le 5 juillet 1962 ont confirmé à l’opinion publique internationale que la Glorieuse Révolution menée par la vaillante Armée de libération nationale (ALN) sous la bannière du Front de libération nationale et pour laquelle autant de Chouhada ont sacrifié leur vie, ne sera pas freinée par de quelconques militaires fanatiques dont les plans de guerre ont été déjoués, ni par les tenants de la propagande fallacieuse démasquée devant la justesse de la Glorieuse Révolution du 1e Novembre.
Nous sommes en droit, alors que nous célébrons les gloires de l’Algérie et les épopées des aïeux à toutes les ères, de nous enorgueillir. Le devoir national nous appelle, constamment, à sauvegarder notre histoire et à renforcer le front de défense de la mémoire nationale face à ceux qui prônent son maintien dans l’oubli.
Dans ce contexte, le discours imprégné d’expressions de patriotisme ne suffit pas, mais il importe de faire preuve de volonté et de courage pour arracher le droit du peuple algérien, imprescriptible et inaliénable qui ne peut faire l’objet de marchandage.
Le processus que nous empruntons, avec sincérité et fermeté, a nécessité la création d’un mécanisme dans le cadre de concertations politiques de haut niveaux, à savoir la mise en place d’une commission mixte d’historiens algériens et français à laquelle sera dévolu le traitement du dossier de l’histoire et de la mémoire, en s’attelant, de par sa spécialisation, à la recherche historique, l’examen approfondi et la rigueur dans son travail pour faire ressortir la vérité.
Au moment où nous commémorons cet anniversaire historique, à la veille du 3ème anniversaire de l’élection présidentielle durant laquelle vous avez placé votre confiance en ma personne, je réitère mon plein engagement à ce que l’histoire et la mémoire demeurent parmi mes plus importantes priorités.
L’Algérie nouvelle à laquelle nous aspirons tous, doit être celle qui fait de ses journées mémorables des lanternes qui éclairent la voie juste tracée et suivie par nos valeureux Chouhada et Moudjahidine. C’est la voie que nous avons empruntée avec des pas successifs vers l’édification des institutions, l’instauration d’un Etat de droit et de la loi, la réunion des conditions favorables à la relance économique et au développement social à travers des stratégies et des programmes en cours de mise en œuvre, avec rigueur, à travers le pays. Des programmes dont nous assurons un suivi permanent par fidélité à nos engagements devant le brave peuple algérien.
