L’Algérie “regrette profondément” que le recours à la violence ait pris le pas sur la voie d’une solution politique négociée au Niger, à un moment où l’intervention militaire dans ce pays se précise, a indiqué samedi le ministère des Affaires étrangères et de la Communauté nationale à l’étranger dans un communiqué.
“A un moment ou l’intervention militaire au Niger se précise, l’Algérie regrette profondément que le recours à la violence ait pris le pas sur la voie d’une solution politique négociée rétablissant pacifiquement l’ordre constitutionnel et démocratique dans ce pays frère et voisin”, précise le ministère dans son communiqué.
L’Algérie “demeure, en effet, animée d’une forte conviction que cette solution politique négociée demeure encore possible, que toutes les voies qui peuvent y conduire n’ont pas été empruntées et que toutes ces possibilités n’ont pas été épuisées”, ajoute la même source.
Le ministère souligne que “l’histoire de notre région enseigne abondamment que les interventions militaires ont été porteuses d’un surcroît de problèmes que de solutions et qu’elles ont été des facteurs supplémentaires d’affrontements et de déchirements plutôt que des sources de stabilité et de sécurité”.
“Avant que l’irréparable ne soit commis, et avant que la région ne soit prise dans l’engrenage de la violence dont nul ne peut prédire les conséquences incalculables, l’Algérie appelle toutes les parties à la retenue, à la sagesse et à la raison qui toutes commandent de redonner résolument la plus haute priorité à l’option politique négociée à la crise constitutionnelle actuelle épargnant ainsi au Niger frère et à l’ensemble de la région des lendemains lourds de menaces et de périls dont notamment un regain de vigueur et d’agressivité du terrorisme et des autres formes de criminalité qui affectent gravement la région”, conclut le communiqué.
