ALGÉRIE/ POLITIQUE : Le Club des magistrats se dit prêt à juger les corrompus
Le Club des magistrats algériens est opposé à la tenue d’élections présidentielles sous l’actuel Code électoral, a-t-on appris des médias algériens. « Nous boycotterons les élections tant que l’actuel Code électoral ne sera pas modifié », a déclaré le porte-parole du syndicat en cours de création, M. Merzougui Saâd Eddine.
« Avec l’actuel Code électoral, le rôle du juge est purement statistique, il ne peut même pas surveiller, ni visiter, les centres de vote. Il ne fait que valider les résultats qui lui sont présentés », a affirmé le magistrat.
Le Club des magistrats algériens demande « la modification de la loi pour faire en sorte que les juges puissent réellement superviser les élections et qu’ils assument ainsi leur entière responsabilité », selon le porte-parole du syndicat. C’est, selon lui, le seul motif de boycott des élections. « Notre boycott des élections n’est pas une opposition à l’armée ou au commandement de l’armée », a-t-il assuré.
Le porte-parole du Club des magistrats a salué le dernier discours du chef de l’armée et l’a qualifié d’ »historique », « surtout la décision de protéger les citoyens et son appel à éviter la violence et l’atteinte aux biens publics et privés ». Un discours qui reflète, selon lui, « le professionnalisme de l’ANP qui insiste sur la nécessité de ne laisser couler le sang d’aucun algérien ».
« Nous, membres du Club des magistrats en cours de création, assurons que nous sommes prêts à juger les corrompus qui ont trahi le peuple algérien et affirmons à l’opinion publique que pour que les jugements soient efficaces et transparents, il faut atteindre une véritable indépendance de la justice qui est entravée par les lois actuelles », a déclaré M. Merzougui qui ajoute : « Nous sommes avec toute solution qui satisfasse le peuple et qui conduise à des élections transparentes organisées par des personnalités propres qui ne se soient pas compromises lors des vingt dernières années »
