Le ministre de la Communication, Mohamed Meziane, a annoncé jeudi à Oran la finalisation de l’ensemble des textes réglementaires encadrant l’exercice du métier de journaliste. Cette annonce marque une nouvelle étape dans la professionnalisation du secteur médiatique, à l’heure des défis numériques et de la lutte contre la désinformation.
Invité d’une émission sur les ondes de Radio Oran, le ministre de la Communication, Mohamed Meziane, a révélé que tous les textes réglementaires encadrant la profession de journaliste ont été finalisés. Parmi eux, figure le statut particulier du journaliste, désormais prêt et en attente de validation.
Ce statut fixe les droits et devoirs du journaliste et vise à garantir des conditions de travail optimales, tout en stimulant l’amélioration des performances professionnelles dans le secteur des médias.
Insistant sur l’importance du développement des compétences, M. Meziane a souligné la volonté de l’État d’offrir aux journalistes les moyens d’évoluer professionnellement, notamment à travers la formation continue et spécialisée.
Il a également rappelé l’entrée en vigueur des principaux textes de loi relatifs à l’information, dont :
– La loi organique sur l’information
– La loi sur l’activité audiovisuelle
РLa loi encadrant la presse ̩crite et ̩lectronique
Ces textes, déjà publiés au Journal officiel, visent à structurer l’exercice du métier dans un cadre clair, rigoureux et adapté aux évolutions du secteur.
Face aux défis liés à la transformation numérique et à la désinformation, le ministre a appelé les institutions médiatiques à adopter une stratégie de formation continue, en réaffirmant l’engagement du ministère à accompagner les médias dans cette transition.
Il a aussi exhorté la presse nationale à préserver la crédibilité du journalisme algérien sur la scène internationale, face aux campagnes de désinformation de plus en plus présentes.
En marge de l’émission radiophonique, M. Meziane a annoncé l’organisation de rencontres régionales à Constantine et à Ouargla, avant une clôture prévue à Alger le 28 avril, à l’approche de la Journée mondiale de la liberté de la presse, célébrée chaque année le 3 mai.
Cette annonce est intervenue lors de l’ouverture à Oran de la première rencontre régionale des journalistes et professionnels de la communication, consacrée aux perspectives et défis du métier dans le contexte actuel.
