Tenue en visioconférence, cette réunion a vu la participation de l’Algérie, l’Arabie saoudite, les Emirats arabes unis, l’Irak, le Kazakhstan, le Koweït, le Sultanat d’Oman et la Russie.
Les discussions ont porté sur la conjoncture actuelle du marché pétrolier international, les perspectives à court terme, ainsi que sur le respect des engagements de réduction volontaire, incluant les mécanismes de compensation des volumes excédentaires.
A l’issue des échanges, note la même source, “il a été décidé d’un relèvement collectif de la production des huit pays à hauteur de 547 000 barils par jour pour le mois de septembre 2025. La contribution de l’Algérie à cet ajustement se traduira par une augmentation de 11 000 barils par jour à compter de ce même mois”.
Les ministres ont également convenu de maintenir une coordination étroite à travers des réunions mensuelles, afin d’assurer un suivi constant de l’évolution du marché, du respect des engagements et de la mise en œuvre des mesures de compensation. La prochaine réunion se tiendra le 7 septembre 2025, indique le communiqué.
