Le directeur général de l’Office national des œuvres universitaires (ONOU), Bachir Derouas a été limogé mercredi suite au décès de l’étudiante Bekkouche Nacera à la cité universitaire Ouled Fayet 2, a annoncé le ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la Recherche scientifique. La gestion des affaires de l’Office a été confiée à une commission provisoire.“Le ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la recherche scientifique indique qu’il a été mis fin, mercredi 10 février, aux fonctions du directeur général de l’Office national des œuvres universitaires, Bachir Derouas”, a indiqué le ministère dans un communiqué, ajoutant que “le ministre de l’Enseignement supérieur et de la recherche scientifique a chargé une commission provisoire de la gestion des affaires de l’Office national des œuvres universitaires pour une durée déterminée et selon un programme de travail préétabli”.
Cette décision intervient après le décès de l’étudiante Nacéra Bekkouche, dans la cité universitaire de Ouled fayet 2 pour filles, suite à un court-circuit au niveau d’une résistance à l’intérieur de la chambre universitaire.
Le ministre du secteur, Abdelbaki Benziane, avait affirmé dimanche, dans une déclaration à partir d’Oran, que son département prendra les mesures nécessaires afin que des incidents similaires ne se reproduisent plus.
Il a déploré l’incident qu’il a qualifié de “tragique” et exprimé sa solidarité avec la famille du l’étudiante décédée, assurant que “des mesures seront prises si les résultats de l’enquête révèlent un quelconque manquement”.
